Lincoln Santa Fun Run looks for new title sponsor

Sponsor wanted: A local sponsor is needed for the 2013 Santa Fun Run in Lincoln, which raised £63k for local charities last year.

An annual winter fun event that seen hundreds of Santas run through uphill Lincoln is looking for a new title sponsor.

Last year, record numbers of runners turned out for the Siemens Lincoln Santa Fun Run and Walk, raising over £63,000 for local charities.

Charities that benefit from the fun runs, organised by the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia, are Lincoln British Heart Foundation, St Barnabas Hospice Lincolnshire, Lincoln Samaritans, Candles, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, the Alzheimer’s Society and local Rotary charities.

Now, the run needs a new title sponsor from a local business.

The sponsor can promote themselves on entry forms, competitor’s numbers, finisher’s medals, regular e-newsletters, other event communications and on the Bailgate course.

Event Director Chris Illsley said: “The Lincoln Santa Fun Run & Walk is a fun and festive day which brings the whole community together for some very deserving causes.

“Being title sponsor is a great opportunity for a business of any size to engage with the local community and enhance the appeal of their brand whilst also contributing towards raising money for charity.”
