Narrow escape after Canwick Hill crash in Lincoln

At around 3.45pm on August 19 the driver of a Volvo XC90 crashed through two sets of traffic lights on Canwick Hill and South Park in Lincoln, then dropped around 9ft down into a back garden off Kingsway.
Police and emergency services arrived at the scene, but the driver and passengers managed to escape without any serious injuries, police said.
Reports say a woman was driving the Volvo, with two children on board, and lost control of the vehicle when coming down Canwick Hill.
The road was partially closed during the evening as officers investigated the circumstances of the crash.
Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses to call the 101 non-emergency number with any information on the incident.
People living in the house were luckily not in the garden at the time of the incident.
