Zane Lowe, DJ Fresh and Kids in Glass Houses join Lincoln freshers’ week

Lincoln refreshed: As a new influx of students enter the city, the university plans a big freshers’ week in preparation.

DJ Zane Lowe will make his return to Lincoln, alongside acts such as DJ Fresh and Kids in Glass Houses, for Lincoln Freshers’ Week.

The line up for the week-long event, starting September 22 to 28, will give new University of Lincoln students a chance to make friends and settle into student life.

The events start on Sunday with a welcome party, followed on Monday by Zane Lowe and DJ Fresh’s DJ sets.

On Wednesday, Shuffle makes its return to the city with a Marvin Humes (formerly of JLS) and presenter Jameela Jamil DJ sets too.

Tuesday gives students the chance to test their wits with the Big Student Quiz.

Thursday is an excuse to get messy with a UV paint party, followed by a Kids in Glass Houses gig on Friday.

The week is wrapped up by Propaganda on Saturday, featuring a DJ set by BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens.

All official events will be hosted in The Engine Shed or Tower Bars on the university campus.

Tickets and wristbands for all the events start at £60, and go on sale from 9am on the Fresh Lincoln website on August 19.
