Police warning after Lincoln thefts from cars

Car crime: A number of thefts in the Boultham area has prompted a warning from police.

Police are warning residents in south Lincoln to be vigilant after a spate of thefts from cars in the area.

In the last week, there were five thefts from cars in the Boultham area, particularly the car park behind St Helen’s Church and the Bowls Club on Hall Drive and Boultham library.

These all happened during the day, police said, and in all cases items such as handbags were left on display.

Police are appealing for information and urging people not to leave property in their cars while it is unattended.

To given information on car crime, call Lincolnshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
