Blast from the past: Lincoln in the 1970s

This story is over

Colour footage from the Lincolnshire Film Archive shows Lincoln in the 1970s, “a city of commerce and industry, bustling with activity” and “modern office blocks interspersed amongst the older buildings.” The video wast shot circa 1973.

Going back even further, black and white footage from 1937-58 shows a time when double-decker buses were still crossing the High Street and going under the Stonebow in Lincoln, before the area was pedestrianised.
