Lincolnshire Sausage, Food and Farming festivals in Lincoln

Celebrating Lincolnshire produce: The 11th Lincolnshire Sausage Festival was held at Lincoln Castle, along with the 2nd Lincolnshire Food and Farming Festival hosted by Lincoln Cathedral.

The 11th Lincolnshire Sausage Festival was held at Lincoln Castle, along with the 2nd Lincolnshire Food and Farming Festival hosted by Lincoln Cathedral on Saturday, October 26.

Mr Sausage, the Lincolnshire banger mascot, was present among the crowds queuing at food stands for delicious sausages, burgers and sweet treats.

Plenty of entertainment was also available for families, with clowns and bands at Lincoln Castle.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Cathedral had ice cream stands, livestock and tractors outside for the Food and Farming Festival, while inside it hosted a vintage tractor display among other stands.

Last year over 11,000 visited the Lincolnshire Sausage Festival, buying more than 25,000 sausages. Organisers expect the 2013 festival to beat this record.
