“An ambulance attended and he was pronounced dead at the scene.”

A murder investigation has been launched and a 35-year-old man – understood to have been sharing a cell with Goode – has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Alan Goode was from Wigston. He was jailed for voyeurism for nine months in October after he was found in the women’s toilets in a Leicester shopping centre spying on women.
