Police search for man after double stabbing on Monson Street

Double stabbing: Police are searching for a man following a double stabbing on Monson Street in Lincoln.

Police are searching for a male suspect following a double stabbing on Monson Street, near the junction with High Street.

The incident happened at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, December 11, when two men aged 20 and 33 were attacked by a man with a large kitchen knife.

The suspect is described as in his mid-twenties, around 5ft 7in tall and of a slim build.

He was reportedly wearing a beanie hat, and dark trousers and jacket. He escaped by running down Monson Street.

The two men injured in the incident are being treated at Lincoln County Hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Lincolnshire Police say that the incident is thought to be isolated and at this stage there is no threat to the wider public.
