Fire in Lincoln Tesco toilets treated as arson

Tesco fire: A fire started at Wragby Road Tesco is being treated as arson by police.

Lincolnshire Police believe a fire started in the toilets of a Tesco supermarket in Lincoln is an act of arson.

Officers were called to the scene of a fire at Tesco on Wragby Road, Lincoln, which was started at approximately 7.36am on January 17.

Police say that an accelerant was used to start the fire in the gents toilets, possibly petrol.

The store was evacuated for a short time. Fire and Rescue attended, but staff had managed to extinguish the blaze prior to their arrival.

The suspect is described as late 30’s to 40’s, around 6ft with an average build.

He had dark, medium length hair and is thought to have been wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and white trainers.
