Lincoln man arrested on suspicion of burglary

City burglary: Police arrested a man within an hour of a suspected burglary in Lincoln at the weekend.

A man has been arrested in connection with a burglary in Lincoln over the weekend.

The incident happened at around 6am on Saturday, February 22 on Sheridan Close in Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Police were alerted of an intruder on a site in the area.

Within an hour a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary in a non-dwelling property.

The man has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident 71 of February 22.


Lincolnshire Police are also appealing for information on another unrelated burglary in the city at the weekend.

The incident happened at a flat on Greetwell Road between 8am and 8pm on Sunday, February 23.

A window in the flat was forced in order to gain entry. A silver/gray Acer laptop and charging cable were stolen.

Anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in Greetwell Road on Sunday is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 379 of February 23.
