Lincoln musicians wanted for world record bubble wrap attempt

Bubble wrap musical: A Lincoln music group will attempt to break a world record for most people popping bubble wrap.

Not-for-profit Lincoln community group SoundLincs are attempting to break a world record for most people popping bubble wrap.

The charity are looking for at least 1,500 enthusiastic musicians and singers to come together to attack 1,500 metres of donated bubble wrap.

The Guinness World Record attempt will take place as part of the charity’s fifteenth Birthday event B15, at the Lincoln Epic Centre on May 3.

In order to manage the event, SoundLincs are also looking for 30 individuals and groups to act as volunteer stewards for a couple of hours on the day.

SoundLincs CEO Nikki-Kate Heyes MBE said: “The world record is currently held in America and our attempt will hopefully see 1,500 people join us in a rhythmic popping extravaganza.

“We are delighted that UKPackaging.com have made the attempt possible with a generous donation of bubble wrap!”

SoundLincs staff are able to visit local groups to provide more details.
