Some 25 roads in uphill Lincoln will closed or have parking restrictions during the Lincoln 10k Road Race weekend.
Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place from 4pm on Friday, April 4 until 4pm on Sunday, April 6 as over 5,000 fundraiser take to the routes.
The roads will be opened again on a rolling basis as the last runners complete sections of the course.
Traffic signs will be displayed when restrictions are in operation.
Motorists are asked to make sure their vehicles are not parked on the roads within the race route until the roads are reopened.
The closures and parking restrictions have been agreed in consultation with the Safety Advisory Group including Lincolnshire Police, East Midlands Ambulance Service and the Highways Department at Lincolnshire County Council.

Steve Lockwood, Leisure, Sport and City Services Manager at City of Lincoln Council, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience and hope people understand the importance of this event to the city, and why closing some roads is essential to ensure the safety of both runners and spectators.
“We will do our best to minimise disruption, and this includes reopening roads on a rolling basis – so as soon as our last runners have reached a certain point roads will begin to reopen.”
