The event linked pupils to employers to help them understand life in the working world, giving them knowledge on what employers look for and what skills are important, as well as trying taster sessions.

Organiser Angela Todd, Sir Robert Pattinson’s careers co-ordinator said: “It’s been a great event this year with such great support from key businesses in the area.

“It’s been a real eye opener for many of our students and a fantastic, and vital, introduction to the real world of work. It’s been rewarding to see so many students enjoying and learning from the day.”

Headteacher Helen Renard added: “A central ethos of the school is not only to help our students achieve their academic potential but to prepare them for life after school.

“Both these events are important in helping our pupils get the experience and inspiration they need to make the right choices for the next stage of their lives.”
