Market Rasen Racecourse’s £800k development begins

Big investment: Work to refurbish a large area of Market Rasen Racecourse is set to begin now, with the first phase being complete in November.

The Tattersalls Enclosure at Market Rasen Racecourse is about to have its biggest development in 11 years, totalling £800,000.

The development will make the racecourse, situated 20 miles from Lincoln, hold a greater capacity of people coming to the major events it hosts.

If on schedule, the work will be completed by the last week in November, just be in time for its annual Boxing day fixtures.

The development will begin with the old grandstand at the Family Enclosure being demolished and the Extra bar being doubled in size.

Additionally the Tattersalls Enclosure will be increased. A temporary marquee will be put in place with all the bar facilities fitted during the development.
