Opening date set for Lincoln H&M store

Launch date: A new H&M fashion store has been given an opening date in Lincoln after creating over 25 local jobs.

A new H&M (Hennes & Mauritz AB) store in Lincoln’s Waterside Shopping Centre is set to open this summer after creating over 25 new local jobs.

The store will open on Thursday, August 14 at 11am and to celebrate, customers in the queue before the doors open will receive a wristband entitling them to 25% off products throughout the day.

Work began at the shopping centre in July 2013 as part of a £9 million reconstruction plan, bringing new fashion retailers to the city centre.

The work, carried out by local firm Simons Group, had provided a 22,000 sq ft store for H&M in addition to a 15,000 sq ft store for Next, which is also set to open this year.

The new store, which spans two floors, will offer H&M collections for ladies, men, teenagers, and children.

On launch day, H&M customers can pick up a goody bag whilst enjoying the atmosphere and music from a DJ.

Over the opening weekend, customers can visit the beauty bar and there will also be fun for children with activities planned, including face painting and balloon modelling.

Carlos Duarte, H&M’s Country Manager for the UK and Ireland, said: “We are thrilled to be opening in the city of Lincoln, with the nearest H&M store approximately forty miles away it is the perfect location to offer Lincoln’s diverse population a fantatsic shopping experience on their doorstep.

“Giving customers the opportunity to shop our latest fashion trends and quality basics, regardless of age, budget or personal style”.
