Things are getting eerie in Lincoln as Halloween fast approaches, and there are a number of spooky events and activities for all the family this year in the city and beyond.
Here’s a list of frightfully good dates for your Lincoln Halloween planner:
Hartsholme Country Park trail
Halloween at Hartsholme Country Park
When: October 25 – October 31 Time: 12pm – 3pm Where: Hartsholme Country Park Tickets: £2.50
Join the park rangers on a creepy Halloween Trail, which will lead you, if you make it, to a delicious treat.
The trail, which will take place each day from Saturday, October 25 to Friday, October 31, will run from noon until 3pm.

Halloween crafts and local Lincoln libraries
Spooky Stories and Creepy Crafts
When: October 27 – October 31 Where: Lincoln libraries Tickets: Free
Libraries in Lincoln and the surrounding areas are holding a series of Halloween-themed events entitled Spooky Stories and Creepy Crafts.

Monday 27 October
North Hykeham Library, 10.30am – 12noon
Cherry Willingham Library, 10.30am – 11.30am
When: October 28 Time: 1pm – 3pm Where: Hartsholme Country Park Visitors Centre Tickets: £3.50 per child
Mask making in time for the spookiest event of the year! This event begins outside the Hartsholme Country Park visitors centre at 1pm.

RSPCA Black Cat Disco
When: November 1 Time: 7.30pm – 11pm Where: St Peter and St Paul Parish Centre Tickets: £6 adults; £3 children in advance
Supernova disco will be providing a fun night for all the family on November 1. The event begins at 7.30pm at the St Peter and St Paul Parish Centre in Lincoln.
As well as a lively music set to dance to, there’ll be a buffet and bar available. Proceeds for charity.
Lincoln Halloween Ghost Bus Tour
When: October 26 Time: 4pm – 6pm Where: Minster Yard Lincoln Tickets: £6
Be in for a fright with a bus tour hosted by the city’s most renowned ghost expert. Step aboard the open-top sight seeing bus and hear spooky tales of Lincoln’s haunted past.
The ghost tours are suitable for all ages but there are no concession tickets available. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis (45 upstairs, 30 downstairs). The tours are limited, with just two taking place, departing from the West Front of Lincoln Cathedral at 4pm and 5pm.
Dare to join Heritage Lincolnshire in discovering the secrets of the Temple Bruer Tower. Enjoy a guided tour of the Knights Templar Preceptory Tower between 11am and 4pm.
Discover the secrets of the symbols on its walls and have a go at some medieval-themed crafts.

Hocus Pocus – Kinema in the Woods

If you go down to the woods today you’ll be sure of a spook.
After three centuries, three witch sisters are resurrected in Salem Massachusetts on Halloween night, and it is up to two teen-agers, a young girl, and an immortal cat to put an end to the witches’ reign of terror once and for all.
Spooky Walks in the Gardens
When: October 31 – November 1 Time: 7.30pm and 8.30pm Where: Doddington Hall and Gardens Tickets: £6 – £8
Meet at the Gatehouse and enter the Gardens for brilliantly atmospheric Halloween tricks, treats and eerily-lit walks! Created by lighting and production designer Howell Thomas with production and performing arts students from Lincoln College.
