Lincoln family chippy showcase singing talent for charity

Made in Movember: The West End Fish Bar team raised hundreds for men’s health causes.

Staff and family members at Lincoln West End Fish Bar have been cooking up a fundraising storm in aid of men’s health, and singing for support in the city centre.

The team at the chippy raised over £400 after they were inspired by the Movember cause, and rallied for donations from customers as well as hosting raffles from their shop on Carholme Road.

Fundraising took place throughout November, and the team have counted £406 raised in total.

Business partners Toby Drewry and Lee Myers even roped in Lee’s sister-in-law Georgia Hanson (18) who sang her heart out to crowd on Lincoln High Street – adding £76 to the total.

The Movember cause is close to businessman Toby Drewry’s heart. He said: “This was a charity which I was personally close to due to losing a lot of members of family to cancer.

“The help received from customers, my business partner and Georgina has been a fantastic and we thank everyone who took part in helping us to raise the money.

“We plan on doing more events for charity in the near future. It’s been nice to help raise awareness for men’s health because, lets face it, we don’t look after ourselves!”

People can still donate to the Movember cause by visiting the website.
