Machinery burglaries: Police are appealing for information after a number of plant machinery thefts in and around Lincoln.

Police are appealing for information after a number of plant machinery thefts were reported in and around Lincoln.

A large wood processor was stolen from a compound within the wood at Hill Holt, in Norton Disney near Lincoln, between 4.30pm on March 20 and 10am on March 21.

Between 10pm on March 22 and 6am on March 23, a Cat 302c mini excavator digger, 2011 model, was also stolen from Elizabeth Avenue in North Hykeham.

The digger is described as a three tonne model and would have potentially been towed by a trailer or loaded onto a vehicle during the theft.

Two toothed buckets which would fit on mini diggers were also stolen.

Also, last week, four yellow dumper trucks were stolen from a locked JCB compound on Whisby Way in Lincoln.

It’s unclear at this stage whether the incidents are linked.

Officers are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious to call 101, quoting incident number 288 of March 21 for the wood processor theft and 55 of March 23 for the digger theft.
