Plans to demolish the former Victory Pub on Boultham Park Road and turn it into flats and business space have been approved by the city council.
Councillors approved the proposals to construct 14 homes across three detached blocks, with space on the ground floor for four commercial units at a planning committee meeting on April 29.
Applicant Steve Shammon, whose second-hand car dealership business sits opposite the pub, will contribute £11,276 to Sir Francis Hill School; £10,162 for playing field provision at Boultham Park; and £6,114 towards children’s play space at Hartsholme Country Park as part of the development.

City councillors also approved proposals to expand the popular Lincoln Fight Factory kickboxing gym on Vulcan Park at the meeting.
However, an application to build six new homes off Denby Dale Close was rejected by the committee.
