To mark the annual Armed Forces Day, military personnel, civic representatives and veterans gathered in Lincoln for a special service and displays.

Cadets from Lincolnshire Army Cadet Force joined Regular and Reserve Forces at Lincoln City Square for a service marking the occasion – accompanied by the Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Band.

Dignitaries attending included Mr Toby Dennis, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire, Mayor of Lincoln Councillor Andrew Kerry and High Sheriff of Lincolnshire Air Vice-Marshal Gavin Mackay.

The event, which continues until 4pm, features bands, choirs, demonstrations, an iconic Spitfire flypast and the chance to find out more about organisations in Lincoln and the surrounding areas.
