Motorcyclist injured after serious A158 Lincoln Bypass crash

Road closed: A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a serious crash involving three cars in Lincoln.

A male motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after a serious collision involving three cars on the A158 Lincoln Bypass.

The vehicles were all travelling west from Bunkers Hill to Nettleham Road roundabout when the crash occurred at 4.50pm on Tuesday, June 30.

The motorcyclist has been flown to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham by air ambulance.

The road between Bunkers Hill and Nettleham Road roundabout has been closed whilst the emergency services deal with the collision.

The road is still closed at the time of writing and police say this is expected to be the case for the next few hours.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police quoting incident number 337 of June 30.

The Investigating Officer is PC 1259 Thorpe from the Roads and Armed Policing Team (RAPT).
