Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information on an attempted robbery in Lincoln which they believe may be linked to a robbery committed just hours before.

The robbery saw a man enter Subway on Monks Road and threaten two members of staff with a metal spanner before leaving with two packets of crisps.

Nobody was hurt in the incident at around 12.50pm on Friday, May 22 which left the employees shaken up.

A second incident was reported at Candy News on St Mary’s Street at just before 3.15pm on the same day.

A man demanded money from a female member of staff who attempted to stop him taking money from the till, injuring her arm in the process. Nothing was taken.

Investigating officers have issued a new image of a man inside the newsagents they would like to trace and talk to.

If you recognise the man pictured on CCTV, or have any information relating to the incident, call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 198 or 264 of May 22.
