Police search for man over two Lincoln robberies

Do you recognise this man?: Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information on an attempted robbery in Lincoln which they believe may be linked to a robbery committed just hours before.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information on an attempted robbery in Lincoln which they believe may be linked to a robbery committed just hours before.

The robbery saw a man enter Subway on Monks Road and threaten two members of staff with a metal spanner before leaving with two packets of crisps.

Nobody was hurt in the incident at around 12.50pm on Friday, May 22 which left the employees shaken up.

A second incident was reported at Candy News on St Mary’s Street at just before 3.15pm on the same day.

A man demanded money from a female member of staff who attempted to stop him taking money from the till, injuring her arm in the process. Nothing was taken.

Investigating officers have issued a new image of a man inside the newsagents they would like to trace and talk to.
