A motorist who left the site of a single-car crash near Lincoln has been found in Lincoln County Hospital after police executed a helicopter search.
Police received reports of an accident on Lincoln Road between Cherry Willingham and Fiskerton involving a black Volkswagen Golf at just after 6.45pm on the evening of September 14.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash and police began a search for the driver, who they feared may have been injured or in danger.
A helicopter was called to assist in locating the driver.
He was finally located at Lincoln County Hospital at around 9.30pm, where he was up and walking.
The driver was not arrested by the police and an investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to call the force on 101 quoting incident number 357 of September 14.
