Over 200 traders are expected to attend the Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair in November, which returns for its 15th year.
Taking place from November 28 to 29 from 10am to 4pm at the Lincolnshire Showground, the annual event provides Christmas shoppers with the opportunity to buy festive treats and gifts all under one roof.
Local businesses, Cote Hill Cheese, Pipers Crisps and Redhill Farm Free Range Pork will be among the many favourites returning to this year’s fair along with a number of first time traders.
One of the new traders will be Lincoln based Santa Sacks, which has had 4,000 requests for its personalised ‘goody holding’ sacks on order.
Managing director Stuart Maclaren said: “This is the first year that we have showcased our personalised hessian Santa Sacks at the Showground and we are really excited to be coming to the Food and Gift Fair as a Lincoln-based company.
“We print the sacks on order so shoppers can explore the fair at their leisure and have their sacks to take home with them at the end of the day.”
Returning to the fair will be the Naked Marshallow Co, who traded at last year’s event for the first time.
Ollie Rendall, director and co-founder of the Naked Marshmallow Co, said: “We set up the marshmallow business last year in November and the Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair was our first ever event.
“After the first full day of trading, we had nothing left. We had completely sold out which was amazing and we spent the following evening and early hours making more stock to meet demand. The next day was just as busy.”
Other confirmed highlights at the fair include The Wild Chef Ralph Skripek and Lincoln wine entrepreneur Toby Hope.
Jayne Southall, CEO at the Lincolnshire Showground, said: “The Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair is always an exciting time for everyone including the traders as it helps kick off the festive season in true spectacular style.
“Now in its 15th year, we want to make sure that the Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair has its best year yet, so whether you are a local business or a Christmas shopper, it is definitely an event not to be missed.”
Advanced tickets can now be bought online or over the phone at £5 each. Under 16s go free when accompanied by an adult and parking at the Showground is free.
