Ice skating displays from local skating teams and professionals marked the opening of the 2015 Lincoln BIG Ice Rink on November 28.

Skating teacher Kelly Hemingway and her students put on a sparkling performance at the launch event before
the rink was formally opened by Mayor of Lincoln, Councillor Andrew Kerry.

The rink is expected to attract up to 20,000 schoolchildren, families and tourists and will remain open every day apart from Christmas Day until January 3.

Skating sessions start on the hour and last 45 minutes with the last session starting at 8pm.

Tickets cost between £4.50 for children and £6.50 for adults (off-peak).

People can book skating sessions on the Visit Lincoln website.
