A brave Lincoln mum has been praised by her daughter for scaring away three men who tried to break into her house.
Three men appeared in the woman’s garden off Doddington Road at just before midday on Monday, November 16 and tried both the back and side doors to her house.
It was then that the 46-year-old mum saw the trespassers and started banging on the window to scare them away.
The video shows the criminals hurriedly make their escape in the direction of a footpath towards Swanholme Lakes.

The woman did not wish to be identified or for her address to be revealed.
However, her daughter, 25-year-old Natasha Smith, said: “My mum was at home on her own when she saw the men in the back garden so she started banging on the window.
“It’s a lucky coincidence as my step-dad fitted CCTV cameras to the house just two weeks ago. She also only locked those doors 15 minutes before the men tried to break-in, so she was really fortunate.
“I’m proud of her and I think she now feels proud of herself as she definitely scared the three of them away.”
Natasha added that she had heard that other people in the area, and in neighbouring North Hykeham, had experienced similar break-in attempts recently.
Anyone who recognises the men pictured should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
