Elderly woman injured in Lincoln city centre crash

Rush hour collision: A woman, believed to be in her 80s has been injured in a collision with a car in Lincoln city centre.

A woman, believed to be in her 80s, has been injured in a collision with a car in Lincoln city centre.

The rush hour crash happened just before 4pm on Tuesday, December 8 on Beaumont Fee.

At this stage it is thought that only one vehicle was involved. It is unclear whether the woman was on foot at the time.

Lincolnshire Police have attended the scene and say that the extent of her injuries is still being assessed.

It is expected that there will be substantial delays in and around the city centre. Motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible.
