Major delays on A15 near Lincoln after two lorries collide, one losing paint load

Lorry crash: Two lorries, one carrying paint, crashed on the A15 north of Lincoln on the morning of Monday, January 4.

Motorists on the A15 north of Lincoln were met with traffic chaos on the morning of Monday, January 4 after two Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) collided.

The crash, involving one lorry transporting paint, happened at around 7.40am, outside RAF Scampton.

No serious injuries have been reported.

Police say the road is closed and is likely to remain so for several hours whilst the wreckage of the vehicles and their loads are cleared.

Lincolnshire Highways are setting up diversions, however motorists are being advised to avoid the area.

UpdateJanuary 4, 2pm – Works are required to resurface the road at RAF Scampton. The section is expected to be closed until the evening. Deiversions will remain in place.
