Police are appealing for information that might help them identify the body of a man found on a beach in Skegness.

A dog walker in the South Parade area of Skegness beach spotted the body and called police at around 8am on Saturday, February 13.

Lincolnshire Police are now looking to trace the relatives of the man believed to be in his 50s.

The death is unexplained but officers do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.

A post mortem will be carried out next week to establish the cause of death.

They are also looking for information from anyone who thinks they may have seen the man between about 7pm on Friday evening and earlier on Saturday morning prior to his body being found.

The man is described as being in his 50s with receding light brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing walking boots, cream jeans and a hooded jumper and a Ferrari baseball cap.
