A weather warning for snow and ice across Lincoln and Lincolnshire has been issued as the cold snap that has arrived in the UK at the start of March looks set to remain until the weekend.

The Met Office yellow warning comes into effect from 7pm on Wednesday, March 2, and is valid until 9am on Thursday, March 3.

Wintry showers will continue through the night and Thursday morning, with the potential for some snow.

Clear spells between showers will allow ice to form on untreated surfaces.

Please be aware of some difficult driving conditions and the possibility of some disruption.
