Gytis Griskevicius, 32, of St Ann’s Lane in Boston, has been charged with the murder of Marina Erte in the town.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Lincoln Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
The man was first arrested last week and then released on bail. On Tuesday he was re-arrested by police on suspicion of murder.
Marina’s body was discovered at a house on Elizabeth Road in the town on Friday afternoon. She was 33 years old.
DI Jim Hodgson, of EMSOU Major Crime and who is leading the enquiry, has repeated his appeal for witnesses and information.
He said: “Our investigation is still continuing and I’m keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of Elizabeth Road, where the victim was found in a property on Friday May 20, between the hours of 6pm on Thursday May 19 and 3pm on Friday May 20.
“Also, if you have any information you think might be relevant to the investigation please contact us on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident 228 of 20/05/2016. Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
