New Lincoln bus service timetables will begin from August 14, despite the start date for the Lincoln Transport Hub being postponed.
Funding is yet to be signed off by the Department for Transport for the project, which would see Lincoln Bus Station demolished and services temporarily operated from Tentercroft Street.
Preparation is underway at the Tentercroft Street car park to move bus services to a temporary hub there.

While the August 15 start date for the project looks set to be pushed back by up to two weeks, bus services are implementing the new timetables as planned.

Until the start date for the project is confirmed, bus services will continue to operate from the current bus station under the revised timetable.
Routes affected will see minor changes to arrival and departure times including delays of up to 15 minutes on selected journeys.
Stops remain the same apart from on the InterConnect 53 – Lincoln to Market Rasen and Grimsby, where the route will no longer serve Tesco. It will instead terminate at the Market Place.

The new timetables also take into account the pending East West Link road opening and other roadworks in the city centre.
PC Coaches are running timetables as usual until further notice. A spokesperson for the company said: “Following the announcement by Lincoln City Council that the relocation of the Bus Station to Tentercroft Street has been delayed due to delays from central government regarding funding for the scheme, bus services provided by PC Coaches of Lincoln will continue to operate as per our existing routes and timetables until further notice.
“We have received assurances from Lincoln City Council that they will provide all bus operators fourteen days’ notice in advance of the move to the new site and once we have been advised we shall let our customers know accordingly.”
A series of road closures have been scheduled for the area as partners prepare for the 18-month project.
Road closures for the Lincoln Transport Hub are expected to last at least 18 months on Norman Street, Oxford Street and St Mary’s Street when the scheme commences.
