Lincolnshire Police have named a man who died after being struck by falling concrete on a farm near Sleaford.

Keith Greatrix, 64, died following the accident on the farm in South Rauceby.

The force believes that he was building a shed when a section of concrete fell on him.

The exact circumstances are being investigated jointly by Lincolnshire Police and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

Detective Sergeant Jon Shield said: “The HSE has been informed of this incident and a joint investigation is underway.

“It’s common practice for us to work together at the early stages of an industrial accident of this nature.

“At this stage the investigation is focused on trying to find out exactly what happened and we will later complete a report for Her Majesty’s Coroner.”

Keith’s funeral will be held from midday on September 9 at Grantham Crematorium, with the waking taking place at the Barge and Bottle in Sleaford at around 1.30pm.

His family has said that people are welcome to go to either or both services.

However, they have also insisted on flowers from the family only.

People can make donations to the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
