Police have released CCTV images of ten men they’re searching for in relation to football violence at a friendly at Blundell Park, Grimsby.

As reported previously, a brawl broke out between Grimsby Town Football Club fans and Sheffield United supporters on Saturday, July 23.

A 46-year-old Grimsby Town fan was hospitalised with serious injuries after being attacked following the game.

Two police officers were also hurt in the clashes, with one sustaining a head injury and possibly a fractured ankle after bottles were thrown towards him.

Since the incident, nine men, aged 18, 20, 24, 29, 35, two aged 19 and two aged 21, have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, along with two youths aged 14 and 17.

All have been released on police bail, pending further enquiries, to dates next month.

However, officers are still looking for a number of men believed to be connected to the incident.
