Two air ambulances have been scrambled to a serious crash between a lorry and a van on the A16 near Boston.

The incident at around 12.15pm on Monday, October 17 occurred on the A16 Sibsey Road about 1.5 miles out of Boston in the direction of Stickney.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police has confirmed that the road has been closed at Sibsey, and two air ambulances from Waddington and East Midlands Airport are attending the scene.

A telegraph pole is also across the road.

There is no indication at this stage of the extent of the injuries suffered.

Anyone who witnessed the collision should call Lincolnshire Police on 101.
