Police find body of missing Lincoln man

Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that the body of missing Lincoln man Carl Mawer has been found.

As previously reported, Carl, 38, was last seen by his family at 9.30pm on Monday, October 10.

Officers found his van at the end of Thorpe Lane in South Hykeham, Lincoln, adding to concerns for his welfare.

Lincolnshire Search and Rescue had been deployed to look for him. His body was found by the team on Thorpe Lane in a small copse area.

John Norfolk, Lincs SAR Operations Manager, said: “Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Carl’s last Facebook post on October 10 at 8pm said “Bye everyone.”

There are no suspicious circumstances.

A file has been prepared for the coroner.
