Police have now named the victim who died at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the A180 in North East Lincolnshire.

James Cole, 79, from Immingham, died at the scene when the blue Peugeot 206 he was driving was in collision with a white Ford Focus Zetec on the westbound carriageway of the A180 close to South Killingholme.

The 36-year-old driver of the Ford, who was seriously injured in the collision, was taken to hospital where, at the time of writing, remains in a stable condition.

Police continue to investigate the crash and a number of witness accounts have been taken.
