Spalding teen ploughed down by car while playing Pokémon Go

A teenage boy has been left with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Spalding. The incident happened on Sunday, December 4 at Sutton Bridge, when 14-year-old Nathan was struck by the car whilst playing Pokémon Go. A teenage boy has been left with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Spalding.

The incident happened on Sunday, December 4 at Sutton Bridge, when 14-year-old Nathan was struck by the car whilst playing Pokémon Go.

Nathan was thrown onto the bonnet of the car and as a result suffered head injuries and a broken foot.

After hitting the windscreen of the car, which then shattered, Nathan was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership have now issued a plea to young people to be safe on the roads whilst playing Pokémon Go.

In a tweet, Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership said: “[On] Sunday, December 4, 14-year-old Nathan ran in front of a car whilst Pokemon hunting.

“He has serious injuries but is lucky to be alive.”
