The City of Lincoln Council will consider plans for around 38 new homes off Riseholme Road, formerly used as allotment land.

The site, which sits next to Ermine East, was previously approved for possible sale by the council after it was deemed that demand for allotments was poor.

Outline planning permission is now being sought by the council and will be considered by its own planning committee.

Outline plans for 38 homes have been submitted for consideration on the former allotments site.

Details on properties, design and road layout are expected to be proposed at a later date.

Initial calculations have outlined that contributions totalling over £235,000 would need to be made alongside the application for primary, secondary and sixth form places.

The council’s planning committee are recommended to approve outline permission at a meeting on Wednesday, January 11.
