Councillors have unanimously approved plans to build 60 new homes on the site of a former primary school in Lincoln.

The plans were approved at a planning committee meeting at the City of Lincoln Council on Wednesday, February 8.

Twenty-seven low cost homes will be built in the Moorland residential estate, with the remaining houses rented out by the council on an area that was once Moorland Primary School.

There will be 10 one bedroom houses, 24 two bedroom houses, 20 three bedroom houses and six four bedroom houses.

The plans were approved despite some concerns from residents regarding increased congestion in the area.
