Many Lincolnshire charities put in time and effort to look after rescued animals in need of care.

The organisations give the animals a second chance at life but can only give them a temporary home.

Do you have it in your heart to give these long-standing residents a permanent loving home?

Here are just a few of Lincolnshire’s pets in need of a forever home:

Dallas

Dallas

  • Name: Dallas
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Six-years-old
  • Location: Bransby Horses
  • Hobby: Being around people

Dallas is a 13.3hh horse that came into Bransby Horses in July 2016 following a request from Lincolnshire Police when he was found abandoned wandering along a road.

Dallas is a sweet natured boy at the start of his ridden education.

He is proving to be very receptive of new things and loves nothing more than being handled and groomed on a daily basis and spending time with you.

Dallas would thrive in a home on a ‘one to one’ basis and would make a lovely family pony in the future as he is brilliant to be around and so kind natured.

Dallas is being rehomed as a riding pony where he can continue his education.

Star

Star

  • Name: Star
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: Between two and three years
  • Location: Ruskington Boarding Kennels
  • Hobby: Being quiet

Star went into care with her best friend Tinsel.

They are both looking for a home and would love to go together, although this is not essential and she can be rehomed on her own.

Star came in as a stray and is currently quite scared of human contact.

Star would be looking for a quiet home where she can have the space she needs to come out of her shell and become more confident around her new owners.

Disco

She came in with eight others when their needs were not being met by the owner.

Disco was severely emaciated on her arrival and in foal. She gave birth in July 2016.

Disco is a loving and kind mare who thrives on being around people and enjoys a lot of fuss and attention.

She is good for the farrier, vet and the dentist and it is easy to fall in love with her as she has such a fantastic personality.

Disco is being rehomed as a companion pony with the potential of continuing into a ridden career as a child’s pony in the right home.
