Bomb disposal teams called after WWII mortars found in woods

Bomb disposal teams were called alongside Horncastle Police to an incident in Woodhall Spa earlier this week. Bomb disposal teams were called alongside Horncastle Police to an incident in Woodhall Spa earlier this week.

A number of ‘large’ World War Two bombs were found in woods near Woodland Drive at around 6.30pm on May 10.

It was found that all bombs were inactive.

The WWII mortars were disposed of by the bomb disposal teams the following day at around 8am.
