Police are appealing for witnesses after a taxi driver was robbed at knifepoint in Grimsby.

The incident, which happened at midday on Tuesday, May 2, involved a 31-year-old taxi driver.

He was sat inside his taxi waiting for a fare when an unknown man approached the car’s open driver’s side window before allegedly threatening the driver with a knife.

The offender then took the victim’s money and left the area onto Milton Road.

The suspect is described as white, aged between 20 and 25 years old and around 5ft 10ins tall with a slim build.

He is wearing blue Adidas bottoms with three stripes, a black Nike baseball cap and a Burberry scarf over his face.
