Lincolnshire Laughter Festival to spread cheer, joy and free hugs for all

People in need of a laugh, sing and dance after the general election are being encouraged to attend the Lincolnshire Laughter Festival next month.

The event at Cabourne Parva, Market Rasen taking place from Friday, June 9 to Sunday, June 11 includes a variety of activities such as live music, inspiring speakers and family-friendly workshops.

An evening of Northern Soul, an opening ceremony and ‘Free Hugs Half Hour’ will kick off the festival on the Friday, where gates open at 2pm.

Wes Floyd, founder of the Smile and Laughter Festival, said: “The Laughter Festival attracts positive people from around the country who come along to sing, dance, laugh and play because these are the fundamental elements to living a joyful life.

“Our goal is simply to help as many people as possible to feel good from the inside out, in a way that is natural, sustainable and lots of fun.”

Laughter is believed to be a therapeutic practice which can lead to increased happiness, health and wellbeing.

Tickets for the festival can be purchased here, under-16s are free and tickets are from £72 and camping is also available.
