A caravan and contents have been severely damaged by a fire off Washingborough Road in Lincoln.

As reported previously, people in the centre of the city reported plumes of black smoke coming from the Great North Terrace area just after 10am.

Two Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue crews were deployed to the scene.

Black smoke can be seen in the Great Northern Terrace area.

A spokesperson from the fire service stated that the fire was reported to them at 10.05am on Tuesday, June 20.

Severe damage has been caused to the caravan pitched off Washingborough Road and its contents.

The cause is unclear at this stage and there have been no reports of any injuries at the time of writing.
