Police and ambulance crews rushed to Boultham Park Road following a crash involving a car and a motorcycle during rush hour this morning.

The collision happened at around 8.10am near to the pedestrian crossing on Boutlaham Park Road on Friday, June 30.

The road was closed in both directions while emergency services attended the scene.

Drivers faced heavy traffic in surrounding areas as a result of the road closure.

The road was reopened at around 9.30am.

On eyewitness told The Lincolnite it appeared the motorcycle rider was being attended by paramedics following the crash.

Lincolnshire Police are dealing with the crash under incident number 71.
