‘Horrible, nasty, spiteful girls!’: Police investigate after bullies attack child in Mablethorpe

Police are investigating after a video of two young girls bullying a 12-year-old has gone viral on Facebook.

The sickening incident happened at around 9pm on June 18 in Seaholme Road, Mablethorpe, and saw two girls verbally abuse a 12-year-old before kicking and slapping her in the face.

The girls were then caught on camera spitting at the girl before chasing her as she escaped.

The video, which has had almost 2,000 shares on Facebook has seen hundreds of viewers angered by the scenes.

One viewer said: “What horrible nasty spiteful girls! No need for bullying,  especially two on one and not letting her go, never felt so much anger!

“Spitting on someone is absolutley disgusting.”

Another viewer added: “That is evil and that poor girl is someone’s daughter, her mum probably thinks she’s having a nice time with friends.

“Hate bullies, nothing but cowards.”

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “Incident number 553 of June 18 is an ongoing investigation into an allegation of assault against a 12 year-old girl in Seaholme Road, Mablethorpe, around 9pm on June 18.

“The investigating officer is aware of the Facebook video.

“No individuals are currently under arrest but this is an active enquiry and we will update as soon as there are further developments.”
