The junction of Nettleham Road and Wolsey Way in Lincoln will close next month as part of resurfacing works.

Over the weekend of Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23, areas of the carriageway that have deteriorated over the years will be repaired.

The finishing touches will then be applied during overnight works on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 July, taking place from 7pm to 2am each night.

The junction will be closed while work is taking place, with traffic diverted via the A158, A15 and Outer Circle Drive.

Access to the shopping centre on Wolsey Way will be via Wragby Road. All businesses will be open as normal.

Mark Heaton, programme leader – surfacing and patching at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “This is a busy junction so we need to make sure it stays in good condition.

“We’ll be carrying out the work at the weekend and overnight when the road is much quieter, which should minimise any disruption caused.

“However, we would still advise motorists to allow additional times for their journeys.”
