Butlins Skegness is set to open a new £1.2 million restaurant in time for summer next year.

Work on the new unnamed bar and grill will begin later this year which a scheduled completion date of April 2018.

The restaurant is part of a £10 million investment that will also include around £5 million on new accommodation at the resort.

Chris Baron, resort director at Butlins Skegness, told Lincolnshire Reporter: “The restaurant is going to hold 140 people and will be a bar and grill.

“We have so much demand for our food products and we just need to create some more space.

“I would hope that it will be open around April next year as we’ll do the work mainly through the winter.

“We’re constantly investing and we invested almost £10 million this year including over £5 million in accommodation and roughly the same amount of money next year.

“We invest for the future and we know what our guests want to see and it’s good to see their holiday money this year being invested in to make their experience better next year.”
