Lincoln police constable to face misconduct hearing over alleged inappropriate texts

Lincolnshire Police have issued a notice for a public fast track hearing to be held over allegations concerning a Lincoln-based police constable.

The hearing will be held in public at the Lincolnshire Police headquarters in Nettleham on July 31, 2017 at 1pm and concerns Police Constable Julian Minton.

It is alleged that Police Constable Minton breached the following standards of professional behaviour:

  • Authority, respect and courtesy
  • Equality and diversity
  • Discreditable conduct

It is alleged that the officer sent a number of inappropriate text messages to female members of the public.

The identity of victims/witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.

Anyone wishing to attend is being asked to send a request to Lincolnshire Police via [email protected] providing name, address and date of birth to register their interest.

Registrations must be made no later than 3pm Friday July 28. Attendees will be required to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the hearing on July 31.
